🏆 Ananias Ipinge, Walvis Bay’s Braai Master, Takes the 2025 Title!
The journey for the 2025 RealGood Braai Championship was intense from the very first flame! It kicked off its Round 1 in Windhoek on 4 October at Bix Car Wash in Katutura, and ramped up significantly when the Northern and Coastal merged regional round took place on 29 November in Ongwediva. After months of fierce regional competition, the grand finale concluded with a thrilling victory, crowning Ananias Ipinge from Walvis Bay as the national champion!
Ananias represents the heart of what this competition stands for- the transformation of passion and skill into real entrepreneurial success. We extend our warmest congratulations to him on this hard-earned triumph.
Tough Competition, Transformational Reward
This year, the competition was incredibly tough, showcasing the highest level of skill, innovation, and professionalism we have seen since the Championships began. Every regional finalist brought their A-game, making the judges’ decision exceptionally challenging. Ananias’s dedication, consistency, and exceptional quality ultimately earned him the coveted title.
His victory secures the ultimate prize: a fully kitted, solar-powered business container and a sustainable supply of product stock. This significant investment is delivered directly to Ananias as seed capital and infrastructure, fulfilling our core mission to transform informal kapana vendors and community cooks into formal, thriving entrepreneurs.
Strategic Alignment with Key Partners
This historic year was further defined by a true alignment of purpose: we were thrilled to partner with businesses that share our fundamental SME development strategy. This year’s collaboration moves beyond simple sponsorship to a true commitment to equip informal food vendors like Ananias with the tangible resources they need to formalize and grow.
Namib Mills is profoundly grateful to our strategic partners whose contributions made this transformational prize possible:
- Coca-Cola Namibia, who sponsored N$ 100,000 towards the prize.
- Charted Investments, who sponsored the crucial solar kit/system to the value of N$ 50,000.
- Tafel Lager, who sponsored the valuable promotional goodie bags for contestants and attendees.
Your commitment validates the Championships’ role as a crucial engine for economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
We look forward to witnessing the growth of Ananias’s business in Walvis Bay and celebrating the success that will rise from this year’s transformational investment!
Congratulations to all our winners and to all our finalists who took part.
