Windhoek, Namibia – 09 June 2025 The 25th edition of the Top Score 7-a-Side Tournament was not just a celebration of football and community spirit—it became a catalyst for change.
In a powerful act of compassion and corporate social responsibility, proceeds from the tournament—sponsored by the participating teams—have been used to donate Top Score maize meal to families in need in the Tobias Hainyeko constituency. This initiative will support over 3,000 individuals across the area, many of whom face daily challenges in accessing basic necessities.
Participating teams, in true Namibian spirit, went beyond the pitch this year by contributing maize meal donations ranging from 10kg to 25kg bags. These contributions, pooled together, formed the heart of the handover event that took place on Friday 06 June 2025, marking the beginning of an outreach mission to fight hunger in Namibia.
This maize meal is more than just food; It’s nourishment, warmth, and a hope for a better tomorrow. In times like these, a simple act like sharing a meal can mean everything.”
Tobias Hainyeko constituency—home to over 65,000 people—is a vibrant and resilient community, rich in history and potential. While the need is great, Top Score’s goal is to let each community outreach represent something greater: a symbol of support, solidarity, and shared humanity.
This CSR project is one of several community-driven initiatives from Top Score, rooted in the brand’s enduring belief that food is not only fuel but also a powerful force for unity and upliftment.
“As we celebrate 25 years of the Top Score 7-a-Side Tournament, we’re reminded that our impact extends far beyond the football field. We’re building a legacy of care, and we’re committed to shaping a stronger Namibia—one act of kindness at a time,” the Brand Manager added.
