PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Plan and implement procedures to obtain optimal production in the feed milling plant and to meet the client’s expectation regarding quality and timeous delivery of finished products.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes minimum stock levels of raw materials based on orders received.
- Ensure raw material meets quality standards.
- Ensure correct storage of raw materials and prevent cross contamination during off loading.
- Ensure all raw materials are stored according to storage procedures.
- Ensure no infestation during storage.
- Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) rotation is maintained.
- Ensure minimal bacteria count in raw materials and equipment by dusting on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for daily production planning on the Promptech System.
- Ensure production outputs / demands are met daily.
- Responsible to ensure optimal use of storage bins to enhance factory output.
- Report any mechanical / electrical defaults to the Workshop Foreman.
- Ensure all feed products adhere to quality standards.
- Responsible for daily recording of production figures on Share Point.
- Supervision of production staff and contractors.
- Responsible for training and evaluation of sub-ordinates.
- Responsible for disciplining and motivation of sub-ordinates.
- Manage and control overtime of sub-ordinates.
- Ensures customer service internally & externally.
- Maintain adherence to ISO systems.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and adhered to.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
- Grade 12 (NQF4) or Relevant Qualification in feed milling.
- 3 Years’ experience in a Production environment on supervisory level.
- Computer literate with a good mastering of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Namibian Citizen.
- Valid Namibian driver’s licence.
